     New Productions:  On July 14th Steven Humes reopens Munich's Cuvilliés Theater with Idomeneo- the same theater that Mozart originally premiered the work in 1781. On July 28th Steven will sing the role of 'Wagner' in Dr. Faust at the opening of the Munich Festspiel.  On July 24th, Steven joins Adrianne Pieczonka and Diana Damrau as Truffaldin in Ariadne auf Naxos.

     The Bavarian State Opera's recording of La Traviata was nominated in the Best Opera Recording category of the 2008 GRAMMY Music Awards.  The recording stars Anja Harteros, Piotr Bezcala, Paolo Gavanelli and Steven Humes as Baron Douphol, with Zubin Mehta conducting.  The same recording was also named 2006 Classical Recording of the Year by OpernWelt.

     Alice in Wonderland with Steven Humes as the King of Hearts was named World Premier of 2007 by OpernWelt.  Read the Opera News review.

    In October 2007 Mr. Humes joined Atlanta Opera as Timur in their season opening production of Turandot in their new venue, the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

    In February, 2008 Steven Humes returned to
Los Angeles Opera as Walter in Viktor Ullmann's Der zerbrochene Krug (The broken jug).
